Virtual Freelancing in the time of Pandemic

Virtual Freelancing is booming nowadays.

This year of 2020 we were hit by a Pandemic that affected millions of people not only here in the Philippines but all over the world. The new COVID-19 virus takes away our normal routine. Lockdowns happened, Travels were banned, and the Closing of small and big establishments which greatly affects everyone.

Right now, We are on the stage wherein our everyday life is limited. We cannot go out anymore without practicing Social Distancing and wearing face masks. We are not used to our movement being just so limited. We should always be careful and observe proper practice so that we won’t put our lives at risk.

THE NEW NORMAL

Due to the limited movement of people, a higher number of people lose their jobs. Small and Big Businesses were deeply affected which resulted in cutting-off jobs. In these trying times, people make a way to survive and to give something for their family to eat. Online Business suddenly becomes the latest trend. Online food business and Online transactions take place. One solution for us to stay safe is having work but just staying at home. Many people are trying their luck to find a job online including me. Virtual Freelancing is one solution to that and it is also an in-demand job at this Pandemic.

In a Virtual Freelancing, we will be able to work at our own home without risking our health. We have lots of time for ourselves and also for our loved ones. Lots of sites are out there to offer Freelancing jobs like Upwork and OnlinejobsPH. A Virtual Freelancing job has a lot of advantages compared to a normal job in which we are required to go out and experience the hassle of being out.

LONG TIME CAREER

As a person who is just starting from the very beginning of my journey as a Freelancer, I know that there’s still a lot to improve and gain. But Virtual Freelancing I believe is a long term commitment. With just a stable internet connection and a laptop or PC at home, we can now start Freelancing. Making Social Media Sites promote Freelancing is a fun thing to do and at the same time effective in reaching out to Clients in the future.

We should always look at the positive sides of things even if the situation is not good. There are lots of positive things around us. In this time of Pandemic, we shouldn’t be afraid to face the difficulties. Our life might not be normal for now, but I know in the future it will be again.
