Virtual Assistants has lots of pro's and con's but all of this is definitely worth it to try.
Beginner Virtual Assistant
The moment I decided to try Online Freelancing, I already know that it has lots of things to learn and it wouldn't be smooth sailing. Coming from a Real Estate industry wherein I go to an office every day, experiencing the hassle of going to work it is tiring and makes a little productive. With a lack of knowledge of where I start first, I decided to enroll in FVA Consultancy for me to be familiar with the industry I want to pursue. Finding a job gets hard with the current COVID19 situation.
Discovering Freelancing
I finally know and understand Freelancing deeper. It takes a lot of studying to do. A Virtual Assistant should always be prepare. Learning new skills such as Social Media Management and Marketing, Business Branding, Email Signature, Lead Generation, Website Optimization, Facebook Ads, and a lot more is a good opportunity to increase more learnings that is useful in doing better in this industry. Freelancing has a lot of advantages. One of these is staying at home. Finding Clients online becomes a tough job but as long as we showcase our skills to the right clients makes it worthwhile.
Competition in Freelancing
With the pandemic we are all experiencing right now, a higher number of people switch to finding work online for their safety. I made an account in Upwork, OnlinejobsPH, Fiverr, and Hubstaff Talent to find more potential clients. Submitting cover letters and proposals is fun but sometimes It gets frustrating to submit multiple applications but don't even have any response. There are a lot of people who are seeking a job as a Virtual Assistant since this job is easier when you know the task and you have the skills the Clients needed. Of course, experienced Virtual Assistant has more edge than the newbies like myself but at the end of the day confidence, determination and hard work will guarantee a job not the experience.
Being a Virtual Assistant
After months and months of sending applications through the different platforms for Freelancer, I finally landed a job as a Virtual Assistant. As a newcomer, I had a lot of adjustments to do. Doing tasks for the client is a bit challenging but a learning experience. Along the way, I get familiar with my task. I also gain new skills that help me to improve more. It also gave me confidence in interacting with my client through the Zoom meeting. Overall, the experience is fun and I do believe that it is a long journey.
